  • Learn Automotive Embedded System Firmware Development via Simulation tools like MATLAB. MATLAB is a programming platform designed specifically for engineers and scientists to analyze and design systems and products.
  •  MODEL BASE DESIGNING can be a lot easier rather than low-level programming via Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to use the Microcontroller peripherals to use them for building different embedded products.  MBDT (Model-Based Design Toolbox) is a package for development via MATLAB.
  • In this course we will be doing using MBDT via HIL, PIL and SIL methods for using basic peripherals of Microcontroller. 

What is Matlab Model Based Desiging Toolbox?

  • Graphical Programming: MBDT uses Simulink, making it easier to develop and visualize complex control systems without writing code manually, ideal for control engineers.
  • Auto Code Generation: MBDT can automatically generate code from GUI blocks, saving time and reducing errors compared to manual coding in S32 Design Studio.
  • However, MBDT can't provide some exclusive features offered in Integrated Development Environment, such as step-debugging, system register watch, breakpoint debugging, but the ease and enablement which MBDT gives to do quick prototyping and  hassle free getting started for Software Development on Microcontrollers make it widely   accepted in industries like Automotive, Avionics and Industrial Automation.

Motive of This Course

  • The motive of this course is going to be to use different peripherals of Automotive Microcontroller like NXP S32K144 MCU   via MBDT.   
  • We will be making different functional demo codes for   wide number of peripherals of MCU and understand different blocks/menu sections and configurations of NXP MBDT toolbox that are there for configuring peripherals of S32K144 MCU.
